With their backs against the wall, including a 2-3 record, the Chicago Bears came out in a fury Sunday Night and buried the Vikings 39-10. On the Bears opening drive of the game, Cutler hit Devin Hester on a 48 yard touchdown pass, giving Chicago a 7-0 lead.
Later in the 1st quarter the Bears had the Vikings pinned on their own 2 yard line and on second down they were able to sack McNabb in the end zone for a safety and a 9-0 lead.
With the Chicago offense getting two more touchdowns and a field goal to end the half, the Bears were able to go into the locker room up 26-3, leaving the Minnesota Vikings with little hope for a comeback, especially with McNabb at quarterback.
Minnesota came out fighting in the second half. Jared Allen was able to strip sack Cutler and the Vikings offense was able to drive the rest of the field for a touchdown. However the Vikings made a horrible mistake by kicking the ball to Devin Hester on the ensuing kickoff, who returned it 98 yards for a touchdown. Devin Hester is the all time greatest return man, asides from Gale Sayers, and Deon Sanders, depending on who you ask.
The touchdown gave the Bears a 33-10 lead and was a cake walk for Chicago the rest of the way. Aside from week 1 this was the best performance out of the Bears all season long. The Bears leveled their record at 3-3, and will travel to Tampa Bay next week to take on a Buccaneers team that just came off of an emotional win against New Orleans.
