The Bears are the 1st team to sign their 1st round pick from the 2014 draft. Defensive back Kyle Fuller has agreed to a four year deal with an option for a fifth year according to multiple sources. The corner back from Virginia Tech was touted by some as the best defensive back in the draft and while the need for safety may have been greater at the time of Fuller being selected, the thinking of eventually replacing an aging Charles Tillman is definitely looking ahead of just 2014.
Only 3rd round pick Will Sutton, a defensive tackle, is yet to sign. Give some credit to Phil Emery for getting these guys signed quickly since the Bears defense needs improvement from these picks.
